 March is National Reading Month and it's good time to pay tribute to beloved children's authors. In the category of picture books authors/illustrators, the late Maurice Sendak reigns on high. His most famous book is "Where the Wild Things Are" which Spike Jonze made into a movie in 2009, using giant animatronic wild things from the late Jim Henson's creature shop. It was a match made in heaven and Where the Wild Things was "wildly" popular.
